Are you interested in including your twitter tweets in your blog layout like shown below ? Displaying tweets in your blog from your Twitter timeline will help the visitors see the timely activity in your twitter account and so there may be a greater chance of getting more followers. Also if your brand is already having huge followers, then showing a list of favourites and retweets will make new visitors understand the social presence of your blog or website and therefore they will connect with your brand immediately without a moment thought.
If your blog's layout has sufficient space then there's no harm in trying this widget. Learn the step-by-step procedure on how to include this widget in your blog.
Step - 1
Login to your brand's twitter account (If you are an individual and want's to display your own timeline tweets, then log in to your own account). Click the settings icon available at the top right corner as shown in the below picture.
Step - 2
Clicking this will display a list of settings. Click 'Widgets' that is provided at the end of the list as shown below. Then click 'Create new' as shown in the next picture.
Step - 3
Once you do the above step, you will be directed to a page containing five widgets named 'user timeline', 'Favourites', 'List', 'Search', 'Custom timeline'. These different widgets offers you different functionality, the best being 'User timeline'. If you brand is already having great followup in twitter, then you may go for 'Favourites' widget.
For starters and intermediates like me, 'User timeline' might suit.
Step - 4
OK, As shown above, your account will show some default settings, if you are satisfied with that, then just go for 'Create widget', else change the values like say height, light or dark theme and more, based on your blog's design and color schemes, then go for 'Create widget'.
Step - 5
Thereafter you will be provided with a HTML code to copy as shown below. Copy the code and click 'Save changes'.
Step - 6
Next, Login to your blogspot account and goto blog > layout as shown below. Click 'Add a Gadget'. Then, a list of gadgets will pop up in separate window. Scroll down to see the gadget 'HTML/JavaScript'. Click that gadget.
Step - 7
A new pop-up menu will appear with a space for content and title. Paste your copied in the content space and if desired give a heading in the title as shown below. Click 'Save'.
Drag the HTML gadget to your desired location in the layout as per your requirement and click 'Save arrangement'. Now check your blog. You are done !
